Driving on non-plowed highways!!

So we thought that the MAJOR inland island highway would be plowed so that we could drive on it without any problems. Well we came to find out the hard way that...it was not plowed. We drove to my family's house in 8 inches of snow with NO plowing done, it was brutal...we were sliding all over the road, we only made it safely because we prayed before we left and the whole way up to the house.
